Galapagos Islands

“This trip more than met my expectations. I would have loved more days on the yacht. While It was more expensive than any other trip I’ve been on it was well worth the cost. It was great having all the work done for me by Penny Pinching Globetrotter.” Maureen

The yacht we will be taking is very new having only done three tours when we enjoyed it last March. It’s beautifully decorated and has plenty of space outdoors to relax. You can learn more about the boat here https://granddaphnegalapagos.com/#specifications

Once you arrive in Quito most everything is included. From airfare to the islands, transportation to and from the boat, lodging before and after, delicious meals on board, crew and an English speaking guide, all activities on board the boat and snorkeling gear.  What is not included is airfare to Quito, required travel insurance, tips, dinner your first and last night, soda and alcohol on board the yacht, a wetsuit (most didn’t need this), and the $120 fee to enter Galápagos.

On these trips we will do lots of nature walks and snorkeling. However, if you want to skip an activity you are welcome to hang out on the yacht.

Here are details of what we will do on board on the 10 day trip https://granddaphnegalapagos.com/itinerary-8-days-a/ (please note this is a sample as the islands are regulated by the park service and the final itinerary will not be approved until May 1st.)

Greece Mainland and Island Tours

We will be doing two trips to Greece.  One focused on the mainland where we will  get lost in colorful cities filled with natural and ancient treasures on this whirlwind tour of mainland Greece. See where democracy began and how life was lived when Zeus called all the shots. Explore ancient ruins and rituals of the past.

A second island based tour will allow you to fulfill your dreams of sailing the Greek Islands on a ten-day seafaring adventure around the renowned Cyclades. Setting off from Santorini, cruise the Aegean Sea in search of ancient towns, secluded coves and holiday hot spots like Mykonos and Paxos. Throw in some freshly caught seafood, local wines and a laid back way of life, and you’re set to drift and roll to the patterns of the ocean. Cool off with regular swims in the Aegean’s turquoise seas and get the lay of the land from a local leader who’s got all the people in the right places.

This trip was a great value. My extremely budget conscious daughter traveled to Iceland last year and spent more and did less than we did on this trip. I also like that we can shop for our own flights to save even more money.

Penny Pinching Globetrotters show you the wonderous world at a price you can afford! This was my first group tour and I enjoyed it. I liked that it was on the smaller size. I would definitely travel with Melissa and Wade again.
